Ball Ventures is a commercial real estate and private equity company based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We own and manage a real estate portfolio spanning 16 states that includes office, retail, medical, hospitality, industrial, multifamily and student housing. We also have a private equity platform invested in various industries including auto dealerships, midstream oil, energy, private funds, and other operating companies. Open Positions

Tax Accountant

Ball Ventures is seeking a detail-oriented and qualified tax accountant to prepare tax returns, recommend tax strategies that comply with laws, and promote Ball Venture’s financial wellbeing. The successful candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, the ability to meet deadlines, and a keen attention to detail.

Typical Job Functions

  • Review tax basis balance sheets and income statements
  • Analyze complex financial transactions and reports
  • Record book/tax adjustments to financial statements
  • Prepare, review, or assist in the preparation of tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimated tax payments, and other tax compliance activities, ensuring accurate tracking of all filings and compliance statuses
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Identify and recommend tax savings opportunities
  • Assist in tax planning and research
  • Resolve tax notices and other issues
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting
  • Understanding of multi-tiered organizational structure
  • Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting or taxation
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant or Tax Preparer with federal and state returns for S- Corporations, Partnerships and Individuals
